Collection, processing and use of personal data

The protection of your data is important to us. To visit our websites or our online-shop, you do not have to enter any data. We only store anonymized Access data without personal reference, such as the name of your Internet service provider, the page from which you are visiting us or the name of the requested file.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Orders

When you order a product from us, we ask you to provide information important to the purchase or use of our products, including your name, optionally a company name, billing address, email address and telephone number (optional). The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b (Execution of ordering procedures) and c (legally required archiving) DSGVO. The information marked as mandatory fields is required to establish and fulfil the contract.

Your e-mail address will be used to generate a user name for your user account (customer area). Your IP address will be saved during the order process.

We collect your data

• to process payments automatically and prevent possible misuse
• set up an account in our customer area for you to have access to our services and support
• meet our obligations regarding the taxation of our goods

Customer account

Your name (and company name and VAT no.), address, e-mail address, telephone number (if specified) and usage data or your personal settings are stored in your customer account. They are used for recurring orders to fill out the form in the checkout for you.

Your usage data will be stored to enable you to use the service on multiple devices, to optimize your content to your needs and if you are obliged to listen to content for a reason, to be able to prove it without further effort.

Your customer account is not public and cannot be indexed by search engines.

We store the data for your customer account to give you the possibility,

• to adapt our services to your needs.
• use our services on multiple devices.
• to better organize your content and not to hear anything twice
• to transmit your listening progress of specially designated content to the authorities authorized by you.
• view your order details and download an invoice
• to use our support via the ticket system
• to retrieve your purchased products at any time.

APP- Data

Licenses and usage information

Your ordered products will be automatically converted into entitlement licenses after purchase or payment. Each license consists of a license code, the date of expiration, number of authorized products, validity, verification of access data (login and password) and a link to your user account. We cannot see your password at any time!

Your personal settings and listening progress will also be linked to your user account.

The following data is transmitted from audiocont.com or subdomains to our server:

• The product ID
• The product file path (this is the relative path of the product and the media file)
• The product type
• The license key
• The URL
• Listening stands and exam results can be viewed by your product provider (company or publisher) to provide you with certificates and improve your offerings.
• Query on the validity of the registration

Check for new content (synchronization process: once a day, at restart or manually via the update function)

Check after your authorizations expire (synchronization process)

Retrieval of the update package for possible modified or new media (here the zip-file is transferred from our server to your APP)

Tickets

If you create a so-called ticket (i.e. a support request) in our customer account, we will save the title and content of your ticket for this process. Based on the content, so-called tags (keywords) are automatically generated to categorize the ticket or make it easier to search. Your user account will be linked to your ticket.

Cookie

A cookie is a text file on a computer in its original form. It typically contains data about visited websites that the web browser stores when surfing the Internet. Cookies are used to ensure that the user does not have to log in again when repeatedly visiting an encrypted page. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Cookies also serve to make our offers more user-friendly and secure for you.  Cookies may be used to collect data, but they also collect and store the data exclusively in anonymous or pseudonymous form and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

When do we collect personal data?
We only collect personal data if you provide it to us in the process of the
ordering process, when opening a customer account, setting up a test user or registering for

Data security

Your personal data is safe with us! They are represented by Transmission standard encrypted and transmitted to us. Our web pages are protected by technical measures against damage, destruction, unauthorized Access protected. However, we would like to point out that there is no 100% protection on the Internet.

Use of Google reCaptcha

LSW uses the reCAPTCHA service of Google Inc. to protect its orders via Internet form. (Google). The query serves to differentiate whether the input is made by a person or abusively by automated, machine processing. The query includes sending the IP address and any other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. For this purpose your input will be transmitted to Google and used there. By using reCaptcha you agree that the recognition you have made will be incorporated into the digitisation of old works. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will reduce your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of reCaptcha is not merged with other Google data. The deviating data protection regulations of the company Google apply to this data. When do we still collect and store your data:

b) If payment services are used for the payment transaction (e.g. Paypal, Visa, Mastercard etc.), your data will be passed on to the payment intermediaries used. The same applies with regard to the credit institutions charged with the payment.
c) In the event of payment disruptions, a claim can be assigned to a collection agency. Information can also be sent to credit agencies. The passing on of the personal data required for this is based on the information provided in the BONITÄTSPRÜFUNG. (see SAMPLE)

The data passed on may be used by the service providers exclusively for the purpose of their passing on.
